Mitcham Common is 182 hectares of common land situated in south London. It is predominantly in the London borough of Merton, with parts straddling the borders of Croydon and Sutton. Mitcham common conservators manage the Common to protect and improve it and ensure that the public have free access to it. They endeavour to widen the public interest and understanding of the Common. The Mitcham Common Conservators have been managing the Common since 1891.
