Group established to secure Fairtrade status for the London Borough of Sutton, which was achieved in 2007, and has been successfully renewed ever since, ensuring the Borough retains this status. The focus is to raise awareness about Fairtrade, trade justice and climate justice and to encourage buying Fairtrade products.

The group is made up of volunteers from the community and a nominated Councillor representative. The group has about 10 members, from religious, environmental and other community groups and with links to local businesses and schools. The group regularly participates in the London wide Fairtrade Forum.
