To receive any petitions, which will either be dealt with at this Council meeting or stand referred for consideration by appropriate Committees of the Council. 

Councillor Moira Butt presented a petition signed by 1012 persons in the following terms:

            “Are you aware of the works that are taking place in Wallington high street and the reasons behind it.

            “Transport for London” are taking away our parking, so you can “walk” and get the “bus” into Wallington.  Which we know is not what people are after……

            But they have not taken into consideration the public’s opinion, so we are now taking up that opportunity to do so.  We have already obtained support from the local shop keepers, ranging from Specsavers & LIDL to Cobblers Awl and Only Bargains.

The petition was referred for consideration by The Executive.
